The Dyson handheld vacuum is already specifically designed for stair use and thus does not need an extra tool for that job. Also the Dyson DC25 Animal is not able to provide the precise crevice service that the DC31 Animal is able to handle. The DC25 Animal has a maximum reach of just over 40 ft where as the DC31 Animal is cordless and able to travel anywhere. Because it is powered by a battery the Dyson handheld vacuum is only able to be operated for 6-10 minutes depending on the setting used.
